SHORTSTOP Youth Project
We've been helping our youth stop short of crime since 1994. Our team of community volunteers and instructors from across the legal community offer the SHORTSTOP Juvenile Crime Diversion Program, Individual and Family Counseling Sessions and the Juvenile Anger Management Program to students in Long Beach, the South Bay, Catalina Island and the Greater Los Angeles area. Our aim is to enrich the lives of our young people by empowering them to become contributing members of an evolving society.

"I am thankful for all your assignments that open my mind about how to direct my life. Life isn't easy, but without information, it's more difficult. I will make my handbook my guide to getting a successful life."
A Student
"It helped me see the consequences for crimes and it made not want to do crime and changed the way I saw things."
A Student From Avalon, Catalina Island
"I think that the SHORTSTOP Program is a good program. It can change kids but only if they want to (change)."
A Student
"I liked how you showed us the right way to go and stop people from making the wrong (choices)."
A Student
"I think that the SHORTSTOP Program is good because it could help kids that are not on the right path to go on the right path so they could get good in the future instead of asking for money for drugs."
